Skillshare – Networking – Training
These social and stimulating events bring Forest School practitioners and their families together to share resources, ideas and food. They are held outside in the beautiful woods where we all work, giving people chance to visit other FS sites and glean new ideas.
Temporary shelters provide space for Members to display artefacts & resources, as well as quiet corners to meet with peers for networking and troubleshooting and discuss grants, training and other trouble topics… the kettle is always on, and healthy food to share is provided including (weather permitting) an evening dinner, usually accompanied by songs, stories and even night tracking games!
Recent Skillshare sessions by members include felt making, Emotional Intelligence, Lantern Making, Ogham runes and Campfire cooking. Sometimes these events include training such as Woodland Management and Bushcraft Skills.
Children are welcome; members provide drop in activities subject to demand.
FSW organises three or four Regional Gatherings each year. Our National Gathering includiing our AGM, is held at Cefn Wood in Mid Wales in the Summer.
Have a look at our Events board for details of our next Gatherings.
