Forest School Wales (FSW) is a voluntary organisation run by trained Forest School Leaders to support high quality Forest School provision across Wales.
In addition to supporting Forest School Practitioners, FSW acts as a central voice for FS in Wales, providing representation for our membership, and information about Forest School in general.
FSW promotes quality standards in all aspects of Forest School provision, and provides a link between Forest School practitioners, key organisations and potential client groups in Wales.
Benefits of membership
We support our members by providing advice and information to guide best practice, access to tailor made CPD training, and opportunities for Skillshare & Networking between members. Members are also able to access a reduced rate Insurance Package, and free downloadable Resources.
For all those interested in FS provision, from trainees to trainers, volunteers to established Practitioners, teaching assistants to Education advisers, membership of FSW will help you to develop your practice, extend your provision, and contact like-minded people across Wales, and improve the quality of experience for your clients.
Collaboration and Representation
FSW works closely with key organisations like the Forest Education Initiative (FEI) and the FS OCN Training Network, and is a member of the National Woodlands for Learning Forum which helps to inform Welsh Assembly Government policy on education.
Funding
FSW is a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee. We rely on our Members’ subscriptions to cover core costs, and seek grant funding in order to develop projects.
We are grateful to the following for their support over the last two years:
