Becoming a member of Forest School Wales will help you to set up your own Forest School, whether you are a trainee seeking help with your portfolio, or a qualified practitioner seeking support to publicise your business.
Members of FSW can access a comprehensive Insurance package which covers trainees working with tools and fires, and is highly competitive.
Forest School Practitioner Trainees will find the following downloadable resources especially useful: Policy & Procedure Handbook, Environmental Impact Monitoring & Woodland Management Planning, Tool Safety, plus lots of instructions for making simple natural artefacts.
Trainees will also find these sections of the website particularly useful: History of Forest School, Research & Reports, and Kit & Supplies.
Trainees are encouraged to bring their portfolios along to our skillshare events to discuss with other trainees and experienced practitioners.
Are you on the Forest School Map? When you join FSW we will create a personal balloon or pin on our Forest School Map so you can be easily located by people seeking local practitioners.
If you don’t have your own website, why not let us help you create two personal web-pages, linked to the Forest School Map, find out more …
Members are welcome to publish their own Case Studies and photos in the public “Forest School” section of this website.
Members of FSW have access to reports from other Forest School practitioners working with different groups such as Home Education and 14-19 Learning Pathways.
